In advertising land, Lisa Ray has company. Czechoslovakian model Yana, who’s been tucked away in Pune, has become the new face of Indian cosmetics major Lakme – for the next three years.

Word has it the company spotted her on the cover of the swimsuit issue of Man's World.

She is married to Satya Gupta a Pune-based artist whom she met over a cup of coffee.

Yana, who’s been modelling since the age of 16,worked in Milan, Paris and Vienna, even working on brands like Nivea and Shiseido before settling India, where her husband is based.

Already, she’s done three music videos – for Shail and Merlin and Jalwa 3–is already hoping to walk the ramp.

What’s her skin secret?

She believes in eating healthy and getting her beauty sleep. Her diet includes fruits and vegetables, and juices off course – one of her favourites is carrot and beetroot juice. She also applys honey on her face.

Her fitness routine?

She works out for an hour and a half every day, except when she is traveling or when she is on a day-long job. Even then, she trys to squeeze time in to exercise.

Her motto in life?

Taking it easy. She is basically quite a relaxed person. She also avoids tension.

Her coolest relaxation technique?

It's simple all she does is closes her eyes and breathes deeply. Also, being close to nature has a very calming influence on her.

She likes wearing?

Loose trousers or jeans. Skirts are for special occasions.

She does not leave the house without?

Money and her cellphone.

Her special diet trick?

She believes in having a cleaning or detox day once a week. On that day, she just eats fruits.
