Clubs
Under the scheme,
nodal Voluntary Sports Clubs/Sports Centres, on recommendation of the State
Govts, are given one time grant upto Rs. 30,000/ for purchase of consumable
and non consumable sports equipment. In case of tribal blocks, assistance
upto Rs.45,000/ is given. This is followed by a grant of Rs. 5,000/ per
annum for subsequent two years. During 1995-96, 32 clubs have been assisted
under the scheme.
