'Garv - Pride & Honour' is another film based on the men in uniform
and their personal problems. It is the story of Mumbai police officers
Arjun Ranavat (Salman Khan), Samar Singh (Amrish Puri) and Hyder Ali (Arbaaz
Khan). Shilpa Shetty plays Arjun's love interest.
GARV revolves around the life and times of officers in the Mumbai
Police Force. Spearheaded by Samar Singh (Amrish Puri), Arjun Ranawat
(Salman Khan) and Hyder Ali (Arbaaz Khan), it also involves their
'Special Task Force Team'.
Arjun and Hyder take the law into their own hands to eliminate the
dons who rule the underworld gangs.
This creates panic within the community of people who are connected
with these gangs to make easy money. This result in a high tension,
action packed drama as they battle for their innocence. Amidst these
tensions, the film takes a look at the officer's private lives.
Arjun's mother (Farida Jalal) and sister (Akanksha) are targeted by
the gangsters. So he takes the law into his own hands.
Garv has all the supplies of ingredients needed to make a perfect
pot-boiler now it is for us to see how good is Salman in his new 'avataar'
as a angry young cop?
Anu Malik has composed 2 electrifying songs, which includes an Arabic
item number "Marhaba Marhaba" stunningly picturized on the sensational
dancer Reshma Bombaywala (the girl who sizzled in the Shehri Babu
remix video). Garv sees the directorial debut of Puneet Issar. For
those who can remember, he played the character of Duryodhan in
B.R.Chopra's television epic Mahabharata which has been screened on
BBC2 several times.
