Singhare ki Puri
Favorite North Indian meal in the Navarata.
Deep Fried Bread of Singhara flour
Ingredients
For the dough :
1 Cup Of Singhara (water
chestnuts) Flour (Kuttu)
1 Tbsp. Oil
2 Tsp.Oregano (Ajwan) Seeds
1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves
1/4 Cup Chopped Spinach
1/4 Cup boiled and mashed
Potatoes
2 chopped green chilies
1 Tbsp.Red Chili Powder
Salt according to Taste
Water For Kneading
Oil For Deep Frying
Advice
This flour is not like the
normal flour so do not add too much of water. After mixing all the
ingredients take some mixture add water to it so that it comes out in a
form of kneaded small ball now take it in your palm and shape it into puri
and deep fry.
Serve with
Pickle or beaten curd Can even
be served with Aloo ki sabji.
Method
1.Mix all the mentioned
ingredients thoroughly (except oil for deep frying) in the Singhara flour.
2. Add water little by little and make a small puri in your hand.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan & fry puri until dark brown.
4. Repeat this with the rest of the flour mixture and remember make
the puris on your palm.
