Dal Toast
Crisp toasts prepared with Lentils
Ingredients
8 Slices of bread
1\2 cup Gram Dal
1\2 cup Urad (moong dal
washed) Dal
125 GMS. Boiled Gram Peas
1 small Onion, finely chopped
2 tbsps. Oil
1 tsp. Mustard Seeds
1\2 cup finely chopped
Coriander Leaves
Crushed Ginger and Green
Chilies
Salt according to taste
Method
1.Soak Gram Dal & Urad
Dal in water for 4 to 5 hours.
2.Then throw away the water and grind the Dals together to a fine
paste.
3.Heat the Oil in a vessel, put in mustard seeds and cook the
onion.
4.Now add the Dals and keep stirring for about 5 minutes. Then add
Ginger, Green Chilies, Salt, Coriander Leaves, and Green Peas, mix
thoroughly and cook for a few minutes.
5.When cooked, remove from the gas and allow to cool.
6.Now spread the mixture evenly on each Bread slice. Apply a little
butter to the Baking pan.
7.Arrange the slices on the tray and put in the oven for about 20
minutes to toast.
