Nutty Goujons
Breaded Potato fingers with the flavor of nuts
Ingredients
350 GMS. Sliced potatoes
1/4 cup grounded almonds
2 cups Fresh white breadcrumbs
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp. Finely chopped cilantro
1 beaten egg
Salt & Black Pepper according
to taste
Oil for frying
Advice
If you do not want to dip your
goujons in egg then dip them in a mixture of all purpose flour & water.
Ratio will be 1:1.
Serve with
Tomato Sauce or Green Chutney.
Method
1. Mix together
almonds, breadcrumbs and cilantro.
2. Put the flour, salt and pepper and potatoes in a large polythene
bag and shake well.
3. Now dip the potato in beaten egg and roll into the breadcrumb
mixture to coat it completely.
4. Chill in the freezer for 15 - 20 minutes.
5. Heat the oil in a pan and then deep fry the breaded potato
sticks until golden brown.
6. Drain on the absorbent and serve hot.
