A south Indian Sweet Dish

Ingredients

2 cups besan (gramflour) sieved

4 cups ghee

2 cups sugar

10 almonds blanched and sliced

5 small powdered cardamoms

Method

1.Boil 3/4 cups of water add sugar and make syrup of one thread consistency. Set aside.
2.Heat 1/2 cup Ghee(clarified butter), add besan (gramflour) and roast. Keep on stirring all the time.
3.Add the syrup and keep on stirring continuously .
4.Heat the remaining Ghee(clarified butter) and pour into besan (gramflour) mixture, gradually.
5.Keep on stirring. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes, pour into a plate and garnish with almonds and cardamom powder.
6.Cut into diamond or square pieces before it gets stiff.
