Minty delight
Mint flavored rice
Ingredients
2 cups basmati rice
1 cup fresh mint leaves
1 cup fresh green peas
1 big sliced onion
1 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp. green chili paste
3 tbsp. ghee (clarified
butter)
Salt according to taste
Serve with
Serve hot with a cucumber raitha.
Method
1.Clean and wash the
rice. Soak in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
2.Heat Ghee(clarified butter) in a pan and cook the sliced onion
till golden brown.
3.Then add the ginger-garlic and chili pastes. Cook till a nice
aroma arises.
4.Now add the green peas and the drained rice. Add 4 cups of water
and salt to taste.
5.When the pulao is nearly ready toss in the fresh mint leaves and
allow to simmer for a couple of minutes.
