That day it was a moonlit night
Everything was calm and quiet
And I sat on the terrace watching the moon
Hoping that I could reach there soon.

I went for a walk on that moonlit night,
The roads were calm, shining and bright.
It was so romantic, I thought,
I wished the moon could be bought.
So that it could always be mine,
And I could forever see it shine.
Whether it was day or it was night,
It would be with me shining bright.

But then a thought came to my mind,
I should not be selfish but kind.
There are so many people who like to see,
The moon and always feel happy.
